Mission Statement

Our emphasis locally will be to promote partnerships with individuals, community groups and local government to repair and rehabilitate owner-occupied homes of people in need. Most of our projects will require less than $5,000 to complete. We will attempt to keep costs at a minimum by relying on volunteer labor and donated materials as much as possible. Like our parent partner, the Tallahassee Fuller Center is an ecumenical Christian organization that invites and welcomes volunteers and supporters of all faiths who share our basic belief in giving people dignity by helping them make their homes decent and livable.

Adhering to the partnership housing model conceived by Clarence Jordan and Millard Fuller over forty years ago, beneficiary families will help repair and renovate their houses alongside our volunteers, and pay for repairs through a Greater Blessing repayment program. The Greater Blessings program is based on the Biblical teaching that that there is greater blessing in giving than in receiving. Families receiving assistance will be asked to contribute a small monthly gift in order that others can be helped as they were.

Description

Volunteers are needed to help with the reparing and building of homes for low income families. Volunteers can be skilled or non skilled. Just a willingness to help. Volunteers must be 18 years of age.
