Mission Statement

Our Mission To provide patients with a life limiting condition and their loved ones with the support and care they require to live their lives comfortably. Our hospice team strives to enable the patient and family to maintain their dignity and quality of life.

Our goal is to achieve physical, emotional and spiritual comfort. We strive to empower the patient and/or family by providing them with the tools, information and support they need to make decisions. We provide ongoing support for family and friends as long as needed.

We believe that hospice care should be available to any and all persons with an illness for which there is no cure and limited life expectancy.

Description

Hometown Hospice Volunteer Program is a program that affirms the dignity of life. It serves people affected by an advanced illness by providing comprehensive compassionate care while respecting each individual's needs, benefits, and wishes. Hospice helps patients live comfortably in their final days and help families cope with the care and ultimate loss of their loved one. Although it is home centered, hospice care can be provided in a variety of settings.
