To enrich the skills, prospects, and spirit of North Minneapolis area youth, in partnership with families and communities.
Since its founding in an old hotel on Plymouth Avenue in 1954, PCYC has "been there" for kids. Today, more than 4,000 young people learn, grow and explore yearly, in the company of caring staff and volunteers. Four PCYC alternative school sites offer a positive school climate for junior and senior high youth that have been unsuccessful in their regular schools. PCYC Social Services offer support, learing and growth opportunities to young people and families through a variety of in-school and after-school programs such as Friendship Groups and Rocking Readers. Finally, PCYC's Wilderness Canoe Base is a program of outdoor challenge adventures and life experiences for youth from the upper Midwest.
