Mission Statement

The mission and ministry of the parish is summarized through: prayer, education and service. The parish is the local expression of the broader Crookston Diocesan Church and the universal Church called to bring about the reign of God in the world. St. Mary's Mission School is a Catholic School which seeks to carry out the mission of the Church in proclaiming and building the Kingdom of God. We believe the Kingdom of God is realized through building up a just, loving, and Christian community. St. Mary's Mission School is established to support and work with the Anishinabe of the Red Lake Indian Reservation Community who wish to nurture the growth of their children through a culturally sensitive quality Catholic education in a nurturing environment in grades one through six.

St. Mary's Mission School -offers quality education for grades 1-6 in a Catholic setting -accepts enrollees regardless of faith tenet or economic status -safe environment for learning and exercising social skills -faith experiences through religion classes, daily prayer, and weekly liturgies -sensitivity toward and integration of Native culture and spiritual values
