The Professional Volunteer/Veteran Volunteer participates with the supervision of the Volunteer Coordinator /Manager or other staff member. They participate in the visit of the Hospice patient who is a Veteran with the purpose of Veteran Recognition and or visits. Training is provided.

Community Hospice is looking for dedicated individuals to join our Volunteer Organization New Volunteer Classes available. Sign up to take the on line class to be a Hospice Volunteer. Work at your own pace, spend some time getting to know Community Hospice and the Volunteer Coordinator/Veterans Services Coordinator.Finish the classes and get ready to make a difference in someone's life. At this time due to Covid 19 Pandemic our volunteers are still remaining in contact with our patients and families by phone call and sending letters or cards. We are still able to offer on line training to any new volunteer.Our committees remain active and are looking for motivated volunteers to help us navigate thru a time when we have to change exactly how we can and are able to do activities.

A Remote Volunteer to correspond with Hospice patients by sending cards to patient or making phone calls to patient and or families 2-3 times a month who are receiving Hospice Care. Volunteer training must be completed. Please call 330-627-4796 to schedule an appointment and get started.
