Mission Statement

The mission of Fidos For Freedom, Inc. is to increase the quality of life of people living in the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Community through the use of specially trained Service Dogs, Hearing Dogs and Therapy Dogs. The committed volunteers of this non-profit organization:


Provide trained Service Dogs or Hearing Dogs to people who are physically challenged, deaf or hard-of-hearing, including on-going support services and training ? ¡ Perform quality visits to local health care facilities to offer residents or patients unconditional love and emotional and physical benefits through the use of well-mannered and obedient Therapy Dogs ? ¡ Conduct demonstrations at schools, churches, organizations, businesses and special events to educate, enlighten and enrich the lives of community members regarding people with disabilities and the many benefits of assistance dogs ? ¡ Teach young people, who earn community service hours through the organization?fs Junior Volunteer Program, about people who are physically challenged, and give them hands-on experience with the training and care of dogs
