Since 2007 we are the coordinators of the Ocean Conservancy in the Dominican Republic and we organize what is known as the International Day Coastal Cleanup (ICC International Coastal Clean - up ) since 2008 .

The ICC is the voluntary participation event world's largest in its class . Each year , from the shores of California to Bangladesh , hundreds of thousands of volunteers collect millions of pounds of trash from the shores of rivers , lakes and beaches around the world .

Each year , scouts , students , divers , families and friends come together to not only clean waste our shores but also to inventory each item collected . Over the past 24 years , this information has been stored to show that the main problem of garbage in the oceans is one that falls from our hands and help implement policies and programs to address this problem .
