I had such a positive experience volunteering at the Palo Alto Arts Center. The volunteer program is organized and run very well. I volunteered for two classes during the week--a painting class on Thursdays and a ceramics class on Friday--and it was such a pleasure getting to know the teachers and helping the students. I would highly recommend volunteering here to anyone who is interested.
