Mission Statement
The mission of Face to Face is two-fold: to provide compassionate care to people living with HIV and their loved ones, and prevention education to all members of our community.
Our multi-faceted, culturally sensitive HIV Prevention program targets those at greatest risk to reduce HIV transmission. We use peer contact, support groups, print advertising, brochures and cards, condom distribution, surveys, special events and town meetings to initiate change in thinking, behavior, and cultural norms utilizing the harm reduction model.
Description
Face to Face is a non-profit organization with offices in Santa Rosa and Guerneville. We currently have 31 employees, 3 of whom work in the West County area. Originally established in 1985, our Care Services program, the backbone of the organization, ensures anyone infected with HIV in Sonoma County has access to case management services, HIV-specific medical treatment, benefits counseling, emergency funds, dental care, residential drug treatment, housing assistance, and skilled nursing/attendant care.
