Mission Statement

Amachi-Break the Cycle is a community based mentoring program. We seek to match the children of incarcerated parents with a positive role model and friend in the form of a mentor.

Description

Amachi-Break the Cycle mentors meet with their assigned child mentee once a week for a minimum of an hour. They choose how to spend time together doing activities that are enjoyable for the mentor and the mentee. Our mentoring is community-based therefore we encourage our mentors to find activities sponsored by community organizations where they can spend time with their mentee.
