Mission Statement

The mission of Sheltie Rescue of Utah is to take in Shelties and Rough and Smooth Collies at any age, in any condition, to rehabilitate and rehome or provide hospice care, as needed. Dogs live in a home environment and not in a shelter facility.

Description

Sheltie Rescue of Utah is a volunteer nonprofit that takes in Shelties from owners, shelters, and wherever they may turn up and provide medical and behavioral rehabilitation as needed. Old or ill dogs become part of our hospice care program and generally live their remaining days out with us. We provide all the comfort, love, and medical support needed.

To support our nonprofit expenses we have a webstore called www.SheltieRescueMall.com. We also have a blog called www.SheltieTales.com.

We hold microchip clinics at dog shows with which we can always use volunteer help. You won't have to insert the microchips if you don't want to. We also hold legal raffles (everyone wins something).

Poop clean-up, accounting, filing, dog training, data entry, organizing, inventory, dog bathing, nail clipping, and lots more tasks are all part of running a rescue.
