Mission Statement
Since 1968, the mission of Young Life Nashville involves going where kids are, building bridges of friendship and trust, earning the right to be heard, providing shared experiences and adventure - all in hopes to introduce teenagers to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith.
The vision of Young Life is that every teenager in Nashville would have the opportunity to hear the gospel and respond to it.
Description
Currently, Young Life reaches 11 different public and private schools in the Nashville area: Overton, Hillwood, Hillsboro, Harpeth Hall, MBA, FRA, FRA Middle, CPA, Ensworth and Harding Academy.
In the last few years, we have launched Young Life Capernaum, which reaches kids with disabilities. It is our goal to let forgotten kids know that they are remembered by God. We remind them that they are masterpieces, not accidents. We give excluded kids a place of belonging in the body of Christ. We create a stage where they can surprise the world with all they have to offer and where they can give glory to the God in whose image they have been created.
Every week, Young Life staff and volunteers leaders are actively involved in over 1000 teenagers' lives through weekly clubs, campaigners (small discipleship groups), and other activities. In the last 4 years we have sent 1400 teenagers to Young Life Camp, where they have heard the good news and experienced first-hand the love of Christ from their adult leaders.
