Mission Statement

Dump & Run is dedicated to serving the University and College community in waste prevention techniques. Our goal is three fold. First, we desire to reduce the amount of waste generated at Colleges and Universities by extending the useful life of items no longer needed by the student community at years end. Second, to generate capital for non profit environmental and social groups willing to participate in the projects. Finally, we aim to educate the public about the problems regarding consumption of natural resources and the need to conserve those resources for future generations.

Description

Dump & Run™ is a cutting-edge nonprofit environmental firm that turns campus trash into cash for nonprofits. We implement a source reduction program to collect reusable material left by students as they vacate their college residences at the end of the academic year. The items collected are be sold at local tag sales across the United States and Canada, with funds from the sales going to benefit local charitable causes. On the basis of the experience to date of Dump & Run, Inc., the combination of enthusiastic volunteers, publicity, and good organization will raise thousands of dollars for local nonprofits and reroute thousands of pounds of reusable items away from the landfill and into the hands of people who can use them.
