Mission Statement

United Friends of the Children is a non-profit organization dedicated to bettering the lives of foster children and to supporting former foster youth in their journey to become successful, independent adults. Through our programs, advocacy efforts, and direct involvement with youth, UFC seeks to be a catalyst for change.

Description

UFC is dedicated to the premise that foster youth deserve a successful adulthood.

Through our Housing and Education Programs, foster youth are provided with the opportunity to graduate from high school, attend and graduate from college, get a job, find housing and have a support system that moves them gradually towards independence.

We are looking for dedicated volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of current and former foster youth. Individuals committed to providing educational and enrichment opportunities so that our youth may thrive.

UFC's volunteer program is designed to provide individuals with various ways to help. Whether you enjoy assisting in the office, or helping guide foster youth on their path to college, we welcome your support.

We encourage you to look over our open positions and email us with any questions.

When I was released from fostercare myself, I had to crawl my way to learning and finding out about life. 7 Yrs later I stand on my own, but not without scars. I want no one to bear more than what they already have because no one took the time to teach them, lend an ear, or give advice. I want to support the people who do this and so much more!
