Mission Statement

Mingus Manor has been organized in order to provide lifetime care and a safe, loving and secure home for senior and special needs dogs and cats. These two groups are, for the most part, unable to find permanent homes due to their age, illness or handicaps, but are still able to lead quality lives.

Although we strive to find them their own forever home, they will be provided with food, housing, medical care and all the love and attention they need and deserve for the rest of their lives.

Description

Mingus Manor is located in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona within 5 minutes of Sky Harbor Airport. The facility is a 5 acre, completely fenced property, where the animals are free to roam around, stay inside or outside, play or sleep whenever they want. Most stay in the main house in the evenings but we have recently constructed 2 buildings that will house 6 animals each. At night, the larger dogs retire to their quarters and are let out very early in the mornings (4am)

My sister and i are big animal lovers. We have 5 cats ourselves. My sister rescued all of their cats and we like to help out people who are helping animals.

Mingus Manor is an awesome organization that aids Senior & Special Needs Animals. Karen, the Founder of MM, has such a passion and love for these special animals that she takes in. All pets involved in Mingus Manor becomes family to Karen, as well as to all the volunteers that put in countless hours. We are still looking for volunteers on a daily basis, special events, fostering, etc.
