NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill) of San Mateo County is a non-profit, self-help association of families of person with serious mental illness such as schizophrenia, manic-depression, severe depression, anxiety & panic disorder, personality disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. NAMI's goals are to improve the quality of life for persons with mental illness and their families through treatment, residential alternatives, increased research and reduction of stigma.
