Mission Statement

Desert Springs Church Purpose Statement

Helping people join a community of believers who celebrate their relationship with Jesus Christ as they grow in Christ-like character; equipping them to make a commitment to minister within the church, and to communicate the love of Christ to a lost world.

  1. Community

Moving people to a place where they have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, an understanding of the purpose statement of this church, and then respond by joining this communityof believers as an active member.

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching, and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Ephesians 4:14-16

  1. Character

Helping believers to grow in their faith so their lives will display Christ-like character. Connecting them through small groups, which will produce disciple-making disciples.

"And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the

knowledge of God."

Colossians 1:10

  1. Commitment

Equipping every member to be a minister, and helping them make a commitment to ministry within this church, based upon their gifts, talents and passions.

"to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up"

Ephesians 4:12

  1. Communicate

Sending believers to communicate the love of Christ within their community and around the world.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have

commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Matthew 28:19-20

  1. Celebrate

Developing a climate of freedom in praise and worship as people celebrate their relationship with Christ at every station of development.

"Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul. I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praises to my God as long as I live."

Psalm 146:1-2

Our Vision

desert springs church (dsc) is a place where people are equipped to be the champions God has called them to be. Through vibrant praise and worship, relevant preaching, passionate times of prayer, and allowing time in our services for the Holy Spirit to move freely, we will see men and women step into all God has purposed for them.

We are called to be a church of thousands where people are trained and sent out to help plant new churches all around this valley. We need to plant several vibrant, life-giving churches, with our same vision and heart to reach the lost. In this way we will be able to affect the greater community of Phoenix.

There is a spiritual hunger within this generation and they are searching for answers. Many are asking, "God, if you are real, I want to know you!" dsc is a place where those who are searching to experience God's miraculous power in their lives can find Him. God is doing a new thing as His word declares:

"I am about to do a brand new thing. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness for my people to come home. I will create rivers for them in the desert! The wild animals in the fields will thank me, the jackals and ostriches too, for giving them water in the wilderness. Yes, I will make springs in the desert, so that my chosen people can be refreshed".

Isaiah 43:19-20

Our desire is to be right in the middle of all God is doing in this area. If you are looking for a church home, we would love to have you be a part of the dsc family.
