Description

Dyslexia is a learning disability that is treatable. The Valley of Philadelphia Scottish Rite Masons opened the Center in 2007. We provide one-to-one tutoring during convenient after-school hours at no cost to student, family, school or insurance carrier. Most students complete the program in 2 years, having attained or closely approached peer-level reading ability. The tutors, primarily schoolteachers, become specialists in dyslexia remediation. Although the tutoring and tutor training is without charge to participants, we need raise the funds necessary to provide this service. It requires us to raise approximately $5,000 a year for every child in the program.
