Mission Statement

To unify the Body of Christ in a tangible way that invites cooperation, celebrates the various voices of praise, coordinates city wide efforts, and sustains prayerful planning and fellowship.

On August 26th and 27th 2011, we will present the 1st annual Worship in the City Knoxville event. Located on the World’s Fair Park; three stages will be filled with popular mainstream artists. The "Festival of Choirs" will culminate from combined area churches, setting the tone for an amazing worship experience. Special guest speakers, seminars, exciting entertainment, exhibits, art walk, and children’s pavilion will all be included for a fun, Family oriented, Spirit filled two day celebration weekend.

Worship in the City will create the opportunity to add strength and unify local student ministries, small groups, churches, families and individuals. Together, and in a celebration format, the greater Knoxville community will be able to share with one another our individual successes as clearly evident throughout our community, and at the same time create new accomplishments as a unified Knoxville family community. Together we will gather to create a Series of Service for those less fortunate.

Our goal is to produce over 5 million highly nutritious, life saving meals for starving and malnourished children and their families. These meals will be delivered to families and children in Haiti. These meals are the first step in moving these families and children from starvation to self-sufficiency.

By donating 1 hour of your time during the Worship in the City Event, Knoxvillian's will have the opportunity to do our part in ending the literal hunger of children receiving the meals, while at the same time satisfying the hunger of our local community - A Hunger for Christ like love, meaning and contribution... our Series of Service.

Would you recommend Worship In The City?

Jesus prayed in John 17:20-21 "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in me through their word that they all may be one as You, Father are in Me and I in You that they also may be one in Us that the world may believe that You sent Me." This is a great opportunity for the Body of Christ to come together in unity and harmony to praise and worship Him and invite our neighbors to join us in packaging meals for the less fortunate thoroughout the world.
