Description
BARC's main goal is to provide economic growth and stability in this community. It also seeks to relay the historic background of the town in its Heritage Center Museum. This Museum details the Westward Expansion (National Road) and Industrial Era of coal, coke, Monongahela River, riverboats and railroads. The Frank L. Melega Art Museum features art of former area industries as well. Both Museums are housed in a Historic Flatiron building c. 1830.
