Description

World class bicycle track for racing, teaching and recreational use. The Lehigh Valley Velodrome, affectionately known as "T-town" is a concrete oval, banked track, 333 meters in length, built in 1975 by Robert Rodale. Some of America's best road and track cycling talent call the Lehigh Valley Velodrome their 'home.' Each summer cyclists from around the country and, indeed, the world, compete in this Olympic sport right here in the Lehigh Valley. Cyclists ride feather-weight bikes with no brakes and a single fixed gear, reaching speeds over 40 mph. The Lehigh Valley Velodrome is one of the world's foremost bicycle race tracks!
