Mission Statement
Help Me Grow connects young children and their families to developmental and behavioral services and promotes developmental surveillance and screening. Our vision is that all children in Orange County have improved developmental outcomes by contacting Help Me Grow.
Description
Help Me Grow was formed out of a collaborative effort by CHOC Children's, University of California, Irvine, and the Children and Families Commission of Orange County to create a single point of access to developmental services for young children and families. The goal was to assist not only those children and families who would qualify for early intervention and special education services, but also those who would not. The aim was to help those children with milder concerns whose developmental trajectory could be improved, but who would not meet eligibility criteria for the public mandated services. At the same time, it wished to address the need for improved coordination and communication among service sectors in the county.
