Mission Statement

St. Barnabas is a faith-based nonprofit organization committed to serving at-risk, low-income children in the uptown area of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. We are a joint venture between the local Episcopalians and Lutherans, representing the Episcopal Diocese of Lower Susquehanna Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Description

St. Barnabas Center houses two main ministries. During the school year, we offer a free after-school program for students in grades k-6. We integrate character education and spiritual enrichment with educational support through mentorships between students and adults. During the summer, we offer an inexpensive summer program for children filled with field trips, exciting service-learning opportunities, and spiritual lessons.
