The Guardian ad Litem Program seeks to represent the emotional, physical and developmental needs and legal rights of abused and neglected children before the Court, Social Service Agencies and Community. By doing so, we atempt to break the cycle of abuse and neglect. The Guardian ad Litem Program advocates for safe and permanent homes for children.

Description

The Guardian ad Litem Program recruits and trains volunteers to be court-appointed advocates for abused and neglected children in the courts. The Guardian ad Litem Program in Florida uses volunteers and paid staff as advocates. A Guardian ad Litem is appointed to a case to monitor and ensure that the child to whom they are appointed is properly cared for and sees the child on a monthly basis.
