Mission Statement

The City Repair Project is an organized group action that educates and inspires communities and individuals to creatively transform the places where they live. We facilitate artistic and ecologically-oriented placemaking through projects that honor the interconnection of human communities and the natural world.

Description

Projects include: neighborhood meeting facilitation to assist the creation of public squares in the public right of way; a mobile tea house (T-Horse, T-Pony), serving free tea in neighborhoods, inviting neighbors to meet and share with one another in a safe unique atmosphere; Earth Day Celebration of Localization, an annual event bringing awareness to the importance of protecting the Earth, and how to build a local culture of cooperation; Village Building Convergence: Human scale community action at the urban crossroads. 10 days of neighborhoods building places for themselves to gather together and celebrate their own communities. City Repair combines many social and environmental values together to create sustainable communities. To find out more, come to a Thursday meeting (7pm), check the website for upcoming events, or give us a call!
