Mission Statement

XAccess makes load-carrying bicycles available to people who can least afford them yet need them most. With simple and extremely useful bikes, we help disadvantaged people get jobs, start entrepreneurial businesses, and transport themselves and their families, using the greenest power source around - human power.

Description

XAccess was founded in 2000 and obtained our 501c3 status in 2004. We are the nonprofit arm of Xtracycle, Inc. the maker of Sport Utility Bicycles in the United States. A share of revenues from Xtracycle supports the work of XAccess. XAccess focuses on the developing world, while Xtracycle focuses on the US and European markets. This innovative partnership has brought exposure and funding to XAccess, while enabling Xtracycle to stay true to its socially conscious roots.
