Mission Statement

The mission of East Bay United is to use the medium of sport to promote healthy living, educational success and the prevention of violence within the communities we serve.

East Bay United (EBU) works across a wide variety sports and fitness activities to:

  • Unify the communities we serve.
  • Create an ongoing dialog leading to healthier, more cohesive family and community life.
  • Foster positive bonds between youth, families and the key service providers of the community including educators, fire fighters, police, coaches and healthcare professionals.
  • Raise awareness for and encourage participation in the causes we support: education, and the prevention of obesity, diabetes and violence.

Description

East Bay United is a community-based non-profit organization with programs designed to get people excited about healthy living, educational excellence, and "playing for a reason."

East Bay United is committed to providing healthy ways for the community to get out and play. Our goal is to offer a place for anyone who is interested in getting active and getting fit. Whether you are interested in having fun while you exercise with friends or getting involved in serious amateur athletic programs, EBU has a place for you.

Our Vision

Our vision is a Bay Area where staying fit and reducing obesity, diabetes and violence are community priorities. To realize this vision, EBU is committed to providing resources, inspiration and a road map to lead the way.
