Mission Statement

The Somali Bantu Community Association of Onondaga County Inc. (the "association")was established to promote Bantu cultural programs intended to inform about Bantu life in the United States and to promote programs directed to assisting and aiding the Bantu community in and around Onondaga County, New York in attaining the necessary skills, language competency and resources to overcome poverty and become functioning members of Society.

Description

The Somali-Bantu Community provides bridging case management for refugees who have been in the U.S.A less than Five years. WE provide after school program for Students from Pre-K to High School Students. We provide ESL classes with Citizenship to parents. We provide interpretation and translation services. Folk Arts and many more.

W have succesfully created a Saturday Program at Dr. King Elementary School that hosts 130 students from Pre-K to High School and mainly they are ESL students.
