Description
Volunteer Description
Volunteers need not be actors or have experience acting, just a desire to participate and have fun. At the end of the semester there will be an informal presentation for family and friends.
Volunteer duties could include: participating in warm ups and modeling, pairing up with students and assisting in small movement or acting scenes, setting up AV equipment, and modeling scenes with the instructor (depending on the level of comfort and experience of the volunteer).
Classes are approximately 2 hours long (9:30-11:45 and 12-2pm and the semester usually culminates in a final performance for friends and family.
Volunteers are welcome to assist with one or both classes and are welcome to visit initially to see if it's a good match. Feel free to contact the instructor with questions. This is a fun, participatory and potentially life changing experience for both the volunteers and the participants in the class.
These classes are free to the public and non-credit and open to anyone, with or without disabilities.
