Our mission is to build and sustain SHIP and SMP programs for the long-term. Increase the number of SHIP Resource Centers. Increase the number of SHIP Counseling sites. Increase education and outreach activities. Increase the number of community partners and strengthen existing partnerships.

Description

Alabama SHIP is the only confidential, one-on-one Medicare beneficiary counseling in Alabama. The volunteer roles are designed to assist SHIP with Medicare education and counseling, volunteer recruitment, establishing and maintaining partnerships, organizing and scheduling events, public relations and marketing. Alabama SHIP also advocates for Medicare beneficiaries on claim questions and disputes. Training is provided.This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience while helping others!
