The Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition promotes the use of science and education to ensure availability of high quality water in the Pomperaug River Watershed communities.
PRWC was founded in 1999 to protect and preserve all the water in our 90-square mile Pomperaug River watershed. Our environmental stewardship directly supports the public health and recreational goals of nine Connecticut communities within Litchfield and New Haven counties and our work reaches well beyond our watershed. PRWC has evolved into a nationally recognized model for scientific investigation, municipal assistance, stakeholder collaboration, community education, volunteer engagement and best practices in water conservation and watershed management. Please find additional "About Us" information on our web site.
PRWC is a 501c (3) nonprofit organization as classified by the IRS.
