Mission Statement

The Evans Scholars Foundation - the sole beneficiary of the BMW Championship - provides full tuition and housing grants to deserving caddies nationwide. Since the first two Scholars enrolled at Northwestern University in 1930, more than 9,000 young men and women have graduated as Evans Scholars. This year, 855 Scholars are enrolled. Their tuition and housing grants are renewable for up to four years, representing an average value of more than $65,000. The program is national in scope, while its focus is centered in the Midwest.

The Evans Scholars Foundation is golf's favorite charity, with more than 100,000 annual contributors. In addition to proceeds from the BMW Championship, the Evans Scholarships are funded through individual contributions nationwide. Established in 1950, the WGA Par Club has been a primary funding source. The WGA also conducts a Bag Tag program. Modest bag tag fees are assessed through the 500 WGA member clubs.
