Mission Statement

Rock Cancer C.A.R.E (RCC) exists to serve cancer patients, cancer survivors, family members and caregivers by "filling the gaps" in cancer care. In the greater San Diego area, RCC provides compassionate, spiritual and emotional support to patients affected by all forms of cancer by meeting their everyday needs and supporting them so that recovery can remain their primary focus.

Description

RCC received its 501 (c) 3 about a year ago and was specifically established (by a female cancer patient) to provide myriad services to people affected by cancer. This purpose became legitimate as the founder of RCC experienced a complete lack of availability of supportive services throughout her own recovery period. Services Provided by Rock Cancer C.A.R.E. include 1-on-1 Counseling, Education & Awareness, Patient Advocacy & Information, Prescription & Financial Assistance, Peer Support for Survivors, Cancer Buddy, Transportation to treatment, Resource Library, House cleaning, Laundry service, Tutoring children, Meal delivery, Grocery shopping, Pet walking, Hospital visitation, and Special Occasion/Birthday parties for children of parents coping with cancer.
