Support families parenting children with trauma and/or attachment issues through education, mentoring, advocacy, and local/regional resources, and to develop awareness of trauma and attachment-related issues in all child centered environments (schools, doctors offices, foster/adopt community, legislative.

Description

ATN has been providing support, education and advocacy for families of traumatized children for more than 10 years. We publish a bimonthly newsletter, operate several on-line support groups and host a national conference annually. We also provide a crisis line for parents, maintain a database of therapy and support resources, and advocate on behalf of families.

I have worked with Children for the last 15 years and find it so rewarding. I worked with CASA for a year and I am a semi retired paralegal for family law. I Have also worked with parents a great deal in both these capacities. Before volunteering, I taught Tae Kwon Do self defense. I am very intereste.
