Mission Statement
The Alliance for Children Foundation is an international relief organization dedicated to improving the physical and emotional well being of abandoned children living in orphanages in Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America.
Description
The Alliance for Children Foundation (the Foundation) is a Massachusetts-based international relief organization, established in 2000 and devoted to improving the physical and emotional well being of forgotten children living in
institutions in Asia, eastern Europe and Latin America.
We measure success one child at a time by witnessing improvements in children's health, nutrition, development and ability to learn so they may achieve their full potential in society.
The Foundation's projects in medical care, basic needs, and education seek to heal, strengthen and empower some of the world's most vulnerable children, those who are less likely to be adopted due to age or special needs. We strive to move beyond basic needs and improve a child's overall quality of life.
The foundation builds upon the over 35 years of experience and key relationships established through its sister organization, the Alliance for Children, a nationally accredited adoption agency. The agency recognized that there were many children, most of them older and/or with special needs that remained in institutional care without hope of ever finding a family of their own. The Foundation was established to advocate for these children in order to give them a chance for a brighter future.
