Mission Statement

Researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital are seeking healthy teenagers ages 13-17 and their biological parent(s) to take part in a clinical research study of Trichotillomania. The purpose of this research study is to learn more about the influence of family factors in the development and maintenance of hair pulling.

Description

You may be eligible to take part in this study if you are between the ages of 13-17, do not suffer from chronic hair pulling, and have a biological parent willing to take part with you. Taking part involves completing an interview and a packet of self-report questionnaires.

Taking part in the study is strictly voluntary and may require 1-3 hours per person. Upon completion of all study tasks, each person will be paid $50.
