Looking for a volunteer opportunity where you can work from home? Do you enjoy making crafts or sewing? Grane Hospice is seeking craft volunteers. Volunteers are needed to make: hand made cards, memory bears, and fidget mats. Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity to involve the whole family? Hand made cards are a great way to involve your children in volunteering. Patients love receiving children's art work! You can have your child write a message to our patient or just include their art work. Hand made cards brighten up a patients room and who doesn't love receiving mail!?! Memory Bears are stuffed bears that are given to family after a patient passes. A memory bear is made out of a patients shirt and is given to the family as a keepsake. Fidget mats are wonderful for our patients! Fidget mats are made of scraps of materials and extra odds and ends from crafting! Have extra buttons or beads laying around the house? Add them to the fidget mat! Our patients with dementia enjoy holding items and having something to do with their hands. Join us today! Contact Hope for additional information. Volunteers are reimbursed for all supplies purchased.

Grane Hospice is seeking singers and musicians to share their talents with hospice patients. A music therapy volunteer visits with hospice patients and provides companionship through playing a musical instrument or singing. Music has been found to decrease anxiety, agitation, and pain. Music can also be used as a tool for reviewing one’s life. We welcome individual singers and musicians or a small group of musicians. Share your talents with others! For more information, please contact Hope at hope.eberly@granehospice.com
