Description

Hospice is a specialized type of care for terminally ill persons and their families. Volunteers are an important part of the Hospice team. The emphasis of hospice care is palliative care (comfort care) rather that curative treatment of the disease. The goal is to help the patient to live as fully as possible to the end.
