Mission Statement

The San Francisco Bay Area Independent Media Center was established to provide coverage of local issues and events that are ignored or distorted by corporate media. The SF-IMC produces and disseminates news content for web, video, radio, and print publications. SF-IMC's goals are to use media as a tool to promote social justice, and to foster media democracy by providing resources, facilities, and training - all free-of-charge - for grassroots media makers.

Description

The San Francisco Bay Area Independent Media Center, a project of Media Alliance, is a non-commercial democratic collective providing do-it-yourself community news and resources for grassroots media production and education.
