Mission Statement

Description

Honor Flight flies WW11 veterans to Washington, DC for no charge to veteran. With 1,000 veterans dying each day time is of the essence. The trip is free to our Southern, AZ veteran-veterans depart Tucson International Airpot for a three day journey-one tour day-visiting WW11, Viet Nam, Korea, FDR, Women's, Air Force, Seabee and Navy memorials-plus changing of the guard at Arlington Cemetery. Honor Flight travels with 36 veterans and 18-20 guardians, plus 3 medical veterans-each guardian oversees 3-4 veterans for the entire trip. As we share their stories, laugh and cry-each veteran is showered along the trip with salutes, songs and cheers from the crowds at the airports and memorials. Come join us and thank a WW11 veteran.
