Description

Catholic Family Center (CFC) provides human services to more than 60,000 people a year in Greater Rochester and surrounding communities from 17 locations. CFC serves all people regardless of their background, religious affiliation or ability to pay but places a special emphasis on serving the poor. CFC services, designed to uphold individual and family dignity while helping people to achieve independence, are delivered through 60 programs. These include: transportation, case management, referral and nutrition services for the elderly; adoption and foster care placement, prevention, pregnancy counseling, early intervention and emergency services to children and families; substance abuse treatment services including residential and outpatient programs for men, women, pregnant women, women with children and Hispanic people; job readiness training for women in recovery; transitional housing and family reunification services; refugee resettlement and immigration services; employment services; emergency and transitional housing for homeless men, women and women with children; counseling services; youth services including abstinence education, athletics, job readiness and personal skills training; social issue research and analysis, community organizing and client advocacy.
