Wildfires are devastating communities across California, causing more than 300,000 people to evacuate their homes and threatening many more. The Camp Fire in Northern California -- one of three blazing across the state -- is the most destructive in state history. We want to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you find access to shelter. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know the most effective ways to contribute.
Bachman Academy's mission is to empower students who have learning differences to develop the skills and values necessary for success in our global community.
Bachman Academy is an educational community for children in grades 6-12 who have learning differences like Dyslexia or AD/HD. Bachman Academy provides a language-rich program of study emphasizing active learning. In addition to college-prep academics, the academy offers career education in equine studies, mechanics, woodworking, and horticulture. Students who successfully complete either course of study will have earned a high school diploma recognized by the State of Tennessee.
Bachman Academy is dually-accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SACS/SAIS). Located in the village of McDonald, Tennessee, the Academy is 20 miles north of Chattanooga, situated on just over 200 acres, 20 minutes away from the Cherokee National Forest, the Hiwassee River, and the Ocoee River.
