Description

Jumpstart recruits and supports college students as part-time AmeriCorps members to provide individualized attention to young children struggling in Head Start and other preschool programs. Jumpstart focuses on three integrated program areas: building School Success for young children through an emphasis on literacy and social skills; encouraging strong Family Involvement; and developing a new generation of well-trained early childhood Future Teachers.
