As a Fair Volunteer you will be part of a team introducing thousands of students and adults to the possibility of satisfying, high-paying careers in the skilled trades - an opportunity to pursue a great career without debt! Volunteers help with every detail of the event including: Acting as the face of Oregon Tradeswomen, greeting and escorting students and other attendees through their day at the Fair Assisting hands-on workshop presenters and exhibitors Behind the scenes event support to help us coordinate all of the details that help make the event flawless Event preparation, set-up, and breakdown Along with our immense gratitude, every volunteer receives lunch each day of volunteering, plus an awesome Career Fair t-shirt! MORE ABOUT THE EVENT: Education, Inspiration, and Opportunity for the Future Construction Workforce The Career Fair is Oregon Tradeswomen’s premiere event, bringing together companies, unions, and registered apprenticeship programs who present workshops, hands-on activities, and host exhibit booths. The goal is to connect with attendees considering careers in the trades industry, and students thinking about professional paths after high-school that they may not have otherwise known about-and opportunities for a debt-free career education. About Oregon Tradeswomen: Oregon Tradeswomen promotes success for women in the trades through education, leadership, and mentorship. We were founded in 1989 on the principles that women deserve and can attain economic self-sufficiency by pursuing careers in skilled trades while supporting industry to build a diverse workforce.
