P.R.E.A.C.H. is an organization committed to lifting up every person with the love of Jesus. P.R.E.A.C.H. is a ministry. Its primary function is to provide literacy support in three crucial areas of life: competency; computer and commerce to at risk middle school children directly and their families. P.R.E.A.C.H. is committed to opening doors for at-risk children and their families.
P.R.E.A.C.H. conducts the following programs: Teens in Action is an opportunity for at-risk middle and high school age children to participate in youth appropriate activities such as career exploration, personal development, service projects and team work. Vision Computer/Homework Center for at-risk middle school students which combines educationally appropriate computers and supportive non-parental adults to tutor and provide encouragement and support. Youth Employment and Service Expo is designed to assist middle and high school age youth in utilizing their time by matching prospective volunteer and employment opportunities with interested candidates. Youth Leadership Forum focuses on the issues and concerns of children at-risk and invites stakeholders to listen to the children present their ideas, suggestions and models for addressing their needs. P.R.I.S.O.N. (Prison Recidivism Interventions Sisterhood Opportunities Network) is a program designed to reach into the female prision population and offer supportive services to middle school age children impacted by "mom's" imprisonment. Resources, mentoring and church/community connections are the hallmarks of this program. Summer Enrichment is a special activity planned for at-risk middle school age children focusing on a single theme or project such as "democracy" or the Special Olympics. Resource Support. Because P.R.E.A.C.H. works with economically challenged youth and their families we offer basic need support when required.
