Mission Statement

Linking communities with composers and performers: The Forum fosters a demand for new music, enriches communities and helps develop the next generation of composers, musicians and music patrons.

Description

The DC chapter of the ACF operates several programs. Our primary activity is the Community Partners program. The chapter sponsors composer residencies with various types of community groups. The chapter also puts on concerts, such as the Sonic Circuits festival of electronic music, and New Music Salons, providing a venue for composers to present new works to their peers and to the public for feedback.
