Mission Statement

The 1818 Society seeks to be a link for its members throughout the world and to represent their interests in regard to (i) the Pension Fund, its investments, administration and management, and (ii) the management and administration of the medical insurance plan.

Description

The 1818 Society: (i) provides for its membership a link with fellow members throughout the world; (ii) organize social, fraternal, educational, humanitarian and other activities deemed desirable and approved by the Board of Directors; (iii) provides and fosters opportunities for contact and cooperation between the World Bank Group and the 1818 Society and its members; and (iv) monitors WBG activities and policies in order to represent the rights and interest of the members of the 1818 Society and other retirees of the WBG.
