Mission Statement

Uhuru Furniture and Collectibles is a project of the African People's Education and Defense Fund (APEDF). APEDF strives to develop and institutionalize programs to defend the human and civil rights of the African community, and to address the grave disparities in education, health, healthcare, and economic development of the African community.

Description

Uhuru Furniture and Collectables is a non-profit store that is a fundraiser for social and economic justice for the black community. We feature solid wood furniture from the 1930s on up to today, gently used couches, collectables and a wide variety of ever changing household items. This is a lively store in downtown St. Petersburg staffed by volunteers. People come to Uhuru Furniture for low priced, top quality items and to support crucial programs for social justice for African people.
