Women's Crisis Center

My volunteer experience with Women Crisis Center was very educational. I learned how to communicate with others during their difficult times. Giving back to my community was rewarding, and fufilling. I had a late call to go to the emergency room and assist someone and when I arrived I could see the despair on their face, but when the night was over and information was shared to assist in their situation their disposition changed. I also had an opportunity to volunteer in the Hebron office and work with the people who carry out the training and counseling, and they love what they are doing. They show compassion and concern for each individual's situation. I am in school and working, but when an opportunity opens up I will gladly be able to volunteer again!! Janet Duncan
