To provide recreational, educational and social service opportunities for high school students within New Trier Township.
Glencoe Youth Services (GYS) is a drop in center for high school age youth. GYS is open six days a week.
GYS was formed in 1971 after alarm over the death of a local teen from a drug overdose, and community concern that there was no place for the teens of Glencoe to go.
Glencoe Youth Services offers a variety of programs that meet the needs of the youth. Whether it is going on an outing, participating in a discussion dinner or volunteering at a soup kitchen the teens are able to explore different opportunities and learn from different experiences.
GYS provides a safe and supportive environment for teens to hang out, participate in recreational activities, give back to the community, and navigate through adolescence.
